Gliding uses the same naturally occurring currents of air that birds use to fly. These currents, or ‘lift’ allow the craft to travel great distances at average speeds of around 70 mph.
Here at the Scottish Gliding Centre we offer several ways that you can take to the skies, or even start your journey towards becoming a qualified glider pilot.

Gliding is for everyone! Age and physical ability are no barriers and the Scottish Gliding Centre is home to the Walking On Air Charity, which provides gliding experiences for those with disabilities.
